ABOUT THE ISLAND
If you are leaving from the UK please check this destinations website for entry requirements along with those of the UK for your return.
The Dutch Caribbean island of Aruba offers a significantly different Caribbean experience. Just 15 miles off the cost of Venezuela, Aruba is a melting pot of South American and Dutch influences. Its native population is descended from Arawak Indians. Aruba’s geology is unique in the Caribbean, its pristine white sand beaches a stark contrast to the wild cliffs and black pebbles of its Atlantic coast and red desert-like interior populated by cactus.
World-class resorts, fabulous restaurants, action-packed casinos, exciting nightlife, duty-free shopping, rejuvenating spas and all kinds of land and sea activities and off-road adventures create the perfect Caribbean vacation. No wonder we enjoy the highest repeat visitor rate of any Caribbean
Ribbons of sparkling beach ring around our shores like brilliant diamonds. Clear Caribbean waters are perfect for sailing, kayaking, wet ‘n wild fun, and deep sea fishing. Windsurfers and kite surfers come from near and far to ride glorious trade winds while spectacular coral reefs and sunken wrecks mesmerize divers with a dazzling parade of marine life.
The calm southwest coast is peppered with opulent high-rise resorts and casual low-rise retreats. Golf is perfect amidst desert beauty and sweeping sea views. A shoppers’ paradise, the bustling capital city of Oranjestad reveals much about the island’s turbulent history and diverse culture.
The wind-whipped northeast coast is home to secluded coves, sand dunes and a natural pool. Raging seas have carved out underground caves and natural bridges; mysterious rock formations punctuate parched desert. The Arikok National Park is a natural preserve of cactus-studded landscapes, rugged trails, fascinating historical sites, and curious wildlife. Make time for some off-road adventure; our divi-divi trees will always point the way home!
From serene to sizzling, our nights are filled with anticipation and excitement. Toast the fiery sunset with an icy pina colada at a jumping beach bar. Enjoy a traditional Aruban meal at a local eatery or an elegant international gourmet dinner prepared by an award-winning chef. Afterwards, exhilarating casinos, trendy clubs, glittering shows, pub crawls, party boats, or just a quiet nightcap await you.
